Un exemple en anglès seria el brunch, el dinar fet abans d'hora, una mena d'esmorzar-dinar, i que té l'origen en la hibidació de ‘breakfast’ and ‘lunch’.
I un altre exemple interessant seria el creuament entre una cullera i una forquilla, un estri interessant per a estalviar pes en una motxilla o per a no fer servir tants coberts en un alberg. Com en podríem dir d'aquest estri que veiem a la fotografia?
En anglès en diuen spork (spôrk), una marca comercial creada a partir de la hibridació de spoon i fork. En català podem fer un híbrid que sona prou bé, la forcullera, de forquilla i cullera.
